Geocache Description:

Plainfield! - The Garden Spot of the Midwest
...where the luscious green grasses are nestled snuggly among the swirling crystal clear waters of the mighty DuPage.

Mighty DuPageWith these words, Mr. Charles Anderson has made himself the “Voice of Plainfield.” His dulcet tones have announced years of Homecoming Parades and sporting events in town. He always takes great joy if a player (on either team) happens to have the name of AAAANNNN-derson.

And so, I place my third anniversary cache in his honor, because it is truly nestled along the banks of the crystal clear waters of the mighty DuPage. The creek is not the DuPage. The DuPage can be seen by visiting the one-lane bridge at N 41° 35.545 W 088° 13.466.

This is an undeveloped park in the Plainfield Park District. There's no obvious parking, but there is some parking that is illegal. Do NOT park along Renwick Road where the sign for Mather Woods is. There is legal parking to be found.

There are numerous No Trespassing signs nearby. You do NOT have to cross private land to reach the park. The park is on public land.

Great care was taken to hide this cache not far from one of the winding trails, but it is well hidden. Please make every effort to hide the cache as well or better than you found it.

Special Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson for getting me a sound clip to use on this page!
