Geocache Description:

****new**** 5-27-05... All seems to have finished construction-wise in the area for a while, so we've picked a new spot and are working on a new multi to be placed soon!

4-5-05... We're still watching the area for further development, hoping to replace the full-size cache; don't want to make it another micro in the area....

December 21, 2004 - Unfortunately the hiding spot and much of the surrounding wooded area was bulldozedand destroyed. The cache was apparently smashed or buried under the debris, we could find no trace of it at all.
I will be replacing a new cache a bit further down the River Trail as soon as I find a suitable location to hide it. Thank you to all who have visited this geocache!

A two-step, one-container cache along the West Prong of the Pigeon River in Sevierville, TN.

The coordinates given above will bring you to a segment of the Sevierville Memorial River Trail Greenway. There is a small parking area specially for this trail just 20 feet from these coordinates. Signs on the main road will direct you to turn between a motel and a popular restaurant. Please be sure to stop and notice the McMahan Indian Mound (visible from the roadway), a structure indicating Indian activity in the area pre-1500s.

How to find the cache:
Locate an aluminum survey disk embedded in the sidewalk at the coordinates above (N 35° 51.838 W 083° 34.120), next to the green drinking fountain. Do not disturb the disk, simply notice what is stamped on it, a sequence of numbers, dashes, and letters: M - # # - 6
The two mystery numbers between the dashes are both the same number.

Subtract 11 from ## and get a new two-digit number. Plug this two-digit number into the set of coordinates below for the resting spot of the cache container:

N 35° 51.9__ __ W 083° 34. __ __4

You will walk less than 1/4 mile to the cache, for the most part on gravel or paved trailway.

Container is a camouflaged Rubbermaid cannister with screw-on lid, packed full of goodies. Please place it back as you find it, and make sure the lid is screwed on tightly. Walkers may be about the Greenway, so you may have to employ stealth at some time.
