Geocache Description:

This is part of Cache Across Maryland, sponsored by the Maryland Geocaching Society in April 2004. The cache became open to the general geocaching population after the event ended in May 2004.

Included are film cans with trash bags. Take one and Cache In, Trash Out the area. When the CITO canisters are down to two, post a note and I will replace them.

This is also the starting point of the "Cache Across Maryland" Travel Bug. Look for it in a Maryland cache near you!

A great place to stop and stretch those legs while you race to Reach the Beach. Here's an idea: slow down, look at your maps, and head off Route 50 into the other sections of the mid-Shore. Head southwest to Taylor's Island for a bowl of fresh Maryland Crab Soup, or on further to what seems like the end of the world, on Hooper's Island to watch the work boats head out of the some of the best sunsets on the Bay. Scope out eagles, ducks and geese by the thousands at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, or head northeast to Easton, home of Frederick Douglass, or St. Michaels, the town that fooled the British. There's a lot of history and nature here that is nearly always missed by simply traveling the Route 50 corridor....
