Geocache Description:

This is the first in what we hope will be a series of little-known cemetery caches. Pete's Favorite Walk inspired us to finally start the series, although we always wanted to place a cache in this park close to home.

Park on 17M or LaRoe Road to enter Goose Pond Mountain State Park. There are four caches here now, so it is worth the trip.

You will come to a path marked with a sign that reads "Board Family Cemetery." This is mystifying, because when we first came here and followed the indicated path, the sign said "Davis Family Cemetery." But the sign on the fence is very clear.

The Davis Family cemetery was refurbished in 1995 by Brad Sayer, Troop 240, B.S.A., for an Eagle Scout project. There is no need to look inside the fence for the cache, but you may want to check it out anyway.

Checked coords with 2 GPS units- hopefully you will have no trouble finding it.
