Geocache Description:

When I was a little girl my grandmother used to tell me a story about going to a Bynum Springs where her and her friends would sit around and enjoy the mineral water. I went to the local museum and found out that a Mr. Bynum used to bottle water in the area and bring it to his bar in Lakeport and sell it to the locals. This was many many years ago. There is no longer any remnants of an old spring but the walk up the creek has some pretty spots to sit and enjoy nature. I would carry along a walking stick to poke around the cache area before i reach into grab it as this is rattlesnake country. Also if you walk farther up the creek beware of poison oak.
