On island beside Virginia Creeper Trail. Near Taylors Valley, VA. Terrain rating goes up with the water.
This ammo can cache is on a small island (Hobo's Island) in the Whitetop Laurel Creek. The island is about a half a mile downstream from Taylors Valley. The Virginia Creeper Trail follows this favorite trout creek down to Damascus from Whitetop. A few good campsites on this small island (40' wide by 300' long). Depending on creek level, wetting of shoes and feet might occur. If you access the island from the upstream crossing, the cache is located on the 2nd knob of high ground downstream. Have a great time, and pack a tent if you want!
