Lactodorum: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it.

The cache is located in Irchester Country Park. It used to be a quarry and the sedimentary rock dates to the Jurassic period.
You can get to the park easily by taking the A509 south out of Wellingborough. Parking costs £1 at N 52°17.005 W 0°39.906 but allow 30-40 mins.If you are travelling westbound along the A45 then you can park for free at N 52°17.277 W 0°39.660 This means a slightly longer walk so allow 40-60 mins.
It is nice to walk around the whole park while you are here (2 miles) on the black trail which will take you past the cache. Walks are signposted from the rangers hut where you can find toilets and a refreshments van most days. Hope you enjoy the walk, our dogs always do!
