Geocache Description:

This cache is an easy one. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle for this.

This is our first cache. Being residents of Southeastern Utah now for about seven years, we found the information to be very interesting. Most of the Carbon/Emery counties livelihoods revolve around mining and energy. The four monuments, included in this cache, tell stories that are specific to the region and would give upcoming cachers an idea and appreciation of the history of Southeastern Utah.

Please answer the following questions to log your visit.

On the monument dedicated to the Carbon Plant, what are the dates Unit 1 and Unit 2 were completed?

What was the date of the Castle Gate Mine Disaster?

When was the first commercial development of coal in the area?

Who were the three people mentioned that robbed the Paymaster E. L. Carpenter?

E-mail your answers to 6pak. Note, your log will be deleted if any answers are included in your log. Also, your log will be deleted if the correct answers are not received within a week of the posting.
