This is where the Bandit used to play and build forts with his
buddies when he was a kid. It was neat for us to come back up here
and find some of their rock forts and pathways still there. The
Bandit was hopping up and down all the boulders showing us all the
rocks they placed and their favorite spots to hide. It made him
want to play war games with our boys!! Some people never grow up!!
Cache is in a small ammo can just above one of his favorite forts.
There is a small pathway to the south lined with rocks, if you
follow it a little way and continue south you we find a "state road
right of way" marker. PLEASE watch out for rattle snakes and
scorpians as well as cactus!!! Cache is about 200ft from main
parking just north from the Bowery Trailhead. You might get a bit
closer on one of the roads by the water tower, we parked about 20ft
away.
