In an area next to McDowell Mountain Park
This cache is located on State Trust Land. A Recreation Permit is required to legally access State Trust Land. These permits are easily obtained by phoning (602) 364-ASLD. This is a recording in which people can request a permit application. The permits are relatively inexpensive - $15 for an Individual Permit, and $20 for a Family Permit. The permits are good for one year from the date of issue, and allow legal access to any State Trust Land in Arizona.
Best parking is in a small area at N33.38.022, W111.42.079.
Cache can be reached via a well travelled ATV road and just the end requires a little bushwacking.
Is in a little depression and you can see the McDowell mountains. Need to watch for creepy crawlies in the hotter weather.
Started cache with the London Bridge TB, Woolsox Geocache (from Little White Church in CO), a navy lanyard, sunglasses strap, Smokey the Bear bookmark & card #9 and other misc stuff.
