Geocache Description:

Easy walk in an historic, friendly Colorado setting.
Cache "remodeled" 1/7/05, again on 3/20/08. and again on 6/21/08! Sadly, Foss Drug was forced to close after almost 100 years of doing business in Golden. The holder of Colorado's oldest liquor license was allowed to stay open during prohibition, for "prescription" alcohol sales. When the pharmacy became unprofitable, the rest of the store was sacrificed, as the original liquor license was contingent on association with the pharmacy!

Starting co-ordinates are for ample public parking! This is an easy multi-step, virtual puzzle cache with many opportunities to learn about local history. Current newscasters and not so current rock bands are known as "talking heads". Your mission on this cache is to learn about “walking heads”. There are several museums along the route and nearby, so you could spend a day here. Enjoy the sculpture, and you may want to visit the oldest bar in Colorado, Buffalo Rose, (conveniently located directly across the street from the original capitol of Colorado!)
