Geocache Description:

Drive to the car park, follow a paved road until you reach the lighthouse then you are going over heather, between gorse bushes and down an incline. You can get pretty near the edge of the cliff here so be very careful. I would not take children down here.

Portmahomack is the only West facing village on the East coast of Scotland (I think). The village is well worth a visit, especially at sunset. The harbour is very pretty as the sun sets behind the harbour wall.

Portmahomack has two hotels and there is a restaurant (4 medallion) where you might want to go for a coffee (or more) and the next nearest (biggish) place is Tain which is about 10 miles away.

The lighthouse is soooooo pretty! It's painted red and white and is very picturesque. A lot of people visit here, but the cache is out of site of the lighthouse but you will need to watch out for people.

The original cache contents are:
A hand warmer, YoYo, Smelly pen, compact mirror, hair bobbles, helicopter, police car, x's and o's game, small jigsaw puzzle, and a card for a free coffee in Inverness.
