Geocache Description:

This cache is located near Quaker Pond in Mendon Ponds Park. It can be accessed via numerous trails, including the enjoyable South Meadow Trail.

There are many ways to get to this cache via the numerous trails in the park. One favorite is the South Meadow Trail that has one of its trailheads located on Pond Road at N 43 00.582 / W 077 33.804 with parking available directly across the road from it. The trail has many branches, shortcuts, and loops. Take your time and enjoy a nice walk through the trees and grassy meadows. It's possible to rack up a few miles of walking via this trail depending upon which ways you choose to go.

While the cache area is within sight of the trail, the point at which you choose to leave the trail can make a bit of a difference as to how difficult it is to get in there. You might want to wear your mucky boots during the wet times of the year.

This cache's name comes from the fact that it started out life stocked with packets of flower seeds. Feel free to trade whatever sort of items you like. I'll reload a few theme items whenever I do maintenance on the cache. Signature items and travel bugs are always welcome, of course!

The cache container is a .30 caliber ammunition box.
