Geocache Description:

A Tribute to Mauborne & Vernam

The Cryptic Cache. This is a new entry in my “The Whole Enchilada” series of caches. If you find this cache you get to keep the whole prize! There are (of course) a few rules…1. In order to be eligible to keep the loot in the cache you MUST take ALL the prize(s) in the cache and leave a prize(s) of your own choosing that is of equal value (or greater)to what was removed. I spent $20.00 on the prize(s) placed in the cache. So, if you plan on removing the prize(s) from the cache be prepared to replace with same value.2. If you find the cache and swap out your prize(s) for the one(s) in the cache please post to www.geocaching.com what you got but do not divulge what you placed in the cache. 3. If prize(s) are not your thing, feel free to hunt for this cache and sign the logbook but do not take anything. 4. The cache container is a .50 CAL ammo box. Whatever you're placing into the cache has to fit! Disclaimer:You are under no obligation to hunt my cache. You do so at your own risk. Like any outdoor sport, it carries the risk of unforeseen hazards. Use your best judgment with the environment and conditions. As conditions and cache locations may vary, it is the responsibility of the searcher to be familiar with the conditions in the area to be searched, to adequately prepare for those conditions, and to conduct oneself safely and responsibly and remain within his or her personal abilities and limitations. Children should be well supervised. When and if you find a cache, you are under no obligation to touch it, reach it, climb to it, dig for it, pick it up, or even open it. Open it at your own risk. If food or drink is present, do not consume it, throw it out. Individual Geostash and GPS cache sponsors assume no liability for events, which may occur, related directly or indirectly to your searching for a stash.Ok, now on to the cache… The posted coordinates will take you to a "Historical Landmark" sign, NO Tresspassing is required. Use what you find there as the key to solving the coded message below. Once solved you will have the coordinates for the final waypoint, Note, it's on public land and within 5 miles of the cache start. Thanks,Gpsfool COERV 6RU37 59TRW QY4BL 1BNEF OIRXZ V2SOA BW7RS YI5SO LJC1J EAB50 BMZBR 59XJY W56CY 0DSMP TX5ZI VEPR1 XZ1ES 6UVWE GD4AP 9GN7V SZWSX T2BPB EW0W7 RXKSW ES27B BLZV1 FLK9X I9BVL BBZOB VPWT9 TGXCS YYMBP W0IDH DKKDK

Please note, the historical landmark listed above was removed in November 2008. Thanks to Pan and Foo I have a picture of that landmark, it's available in the image gallery below! Use what you find in the picture to solve this cache. It's no longer necessary to visit the posted coordinates of this cache to solve the puzzle.
