Denna gömma är en av flera efter Emån, Sveriges enda å med ett naturligt bestånd av den sedan länge fridlysta malen som kan väga upp till 300 kg.
Malen (Silurus glanis) är världens största insjöfisk kan bli upp till 4 m lång och väga 320 kg. Den kräver varma somrar med hög vattentemperatur för att leka och finns bara i några få sjöar och vattendrag i Sverige, bl.a. Emån. Arten är akut utrotningshotad och skyddad i de flesta länder som hyser vilda bestånd.
Gömman är en 1,0 l plastlåda med grått lock och som innehåller loggbok, penna och några bytesvaror.

The fish needs warm summers with high water temperature to spawn and the fish is only located in some few lakes and rivers in Sweden, where Emån is one. The species is under acute threat of extermination and is therefore protected in most of the countries which accommodate a wild population.
