Geocache Description:

You are seeking an ammo box cache.

The Capybara is the world's largest rodent! The parks director has told me that this elusive animal, an import, actually inhabits this area of Alligator Lake Recreation Area. I have not personally seen one, but you can feel their eyes upon you when you walk the trail here.

The cache is easily found by trail walking...no need for wet feet...the wet areas belong to the Capybara anyway! A couple of micros can be found along the way...if you go the right way!

PARK HOURS:

  • WED-FRI.......11am - 7pm *
  • SAT-SUN........ 8am - 7pm *
  • MON-TUE........CLOSED !!

    * Winter Hours: Park closes 1/2 hr. before dark.
