Geocache Description:

This easy on and off the I-80 Freeway is a little Island in an asphalt sea.

The cache is plastic jar with a screw lid fairly exposed but disguised. There is safe and easy parking on dirt, go through the opening in the rail. This is nearly a drive up cache. This cache is a replacement cache for the very popular, but muggled, cache.

Original contents included in the cache were travel bugs, Zugspitz Mini Mouse and boodlebuggy Red Eye Flyer. For general fun an Austrian coin, blank CD, vintage California Angels pennant, mini-fly swatter, and about 20 other children’s (of all ages) trinkets. First finder got the Geocaching lapel pin.

Of course the typical foothills cautions apply, wildlife, bugs, poison oak, etc. There is very little poison oak on the "island" but not anywhere near the cache. If you park as instructed, the approach is easy.

This replacement cache has new coordinates and is about 35 paces from the previous well worn spot. It is closer to your car than it is to the fence. Rely on Coords for parking.

Unfortunately there is now many foxglove for burrs!
