Fly By Night Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

bennet: I checked on this one today during my bike ride. Some critical reflectors and the final cache are missing.
I could fix it fairly easily, but nah. It will only be a few months before another problem surfaces. Night caches are like that, hard to maintain after some age. Hardware, and trees, age.
So the aircraft that was flying by night has crashed into the side of a mountain. It flew a long time really.

Geocache Description:

A night cache with reflectors. Bring your flashlight and batteries. Terrain is a little tricky in a couple of spots.

We have completed quite a few night caches now, and we have had a great time while doing them. So here, we offer our first to all of you.

This night cache is somewhat different than any of the other ones that we have done before. We think you will enjoy it a lot.

At the end of this quest is an ammo box containing various things, including a FTF award, which is a genuine marble paperweight with bona-fide FTF engraving (see attached photo).

Here's what you do...

Go to the posted coordinates. As you approach, you should see some red reflective tape stand out in your headlights or flashlight. From that point shine your light in the west direction, and you'll see some reflectors. Go there and find a hidden container. In that container, you will find an instruction sheet to lead you through the rest of the cache.

If there are multiple instruction sheets left in the container, go ahead and take one with you. If there is only one sheet left, scribble down notes about what you are supposed to do, and then leave that one, and then email us to let us know that we need to replenish the stock.

As a sidenote...
bennet likes to write poetry sometimes. The instruction sheet contains some of his best work. Please let us know how you like the poems.

Part of this cache is near a popular trail, which closes at 11pm. Bicycles are sometimes out there, even at night. Remember that anytime you are out at night, whether caching or not, always have a light source with you so that you can be seen, especially on a trail. It is very dangerous not to have lights. We always have lights out there, and we appreciate others who do too.

We hope you have fun!
