Geocache Description:

Cache is located about 30 feet from a well maintained walking trail.

Barney was a good and loyal old hound dog, but not very smart. When he was alive, he enjoyed walking this trail. At that time there were wild ducks in the lake near this cache and Barney always liked to chase them. The ducks could swim much better and faster than Barney, and, if things started getting bad for them, they could always fly. The cache is located in a very nice Louisiana State Park. There is a $2.00 per car entrance fee to enter the park. The park offers camping, cabins a boat launch, hiking trails, and fishing. For non-campers, the best parking spot to approach this cache is at N30 17.652, W93 15.519. The trail that the cache is located near is a very scenic 1.7 mile loop.
