PS:
Kudos to The Ax who (w/KiddKerouac's assistance) scored (pun
intended!) the FTF (without the details below).
For those who haven't read music before, read on...
The first note (oval) is a "whole" note, the next (with stem) is
a "half" note, the third (solid w/stem) a "quarter" and last few
(solid stem w/flag) are "eighth" notes.
The symbol that looks like the number 7 is an eighth rest (no
note played, just wait a beat).
The curved line that "ties" a couple notes together means you
hold that note for the total amount of beats.
The seven notes correspond to letters, the one beneath the
bottom line is "D", the bottom line is "E", the bottom space
(between lines) is "F", the 2nd line from bottom is "G" but then
the next space is "A", the middle line "B" and so on. (Meaning the
top line is also "F" but an octave higher.)
Did I mention chords (two notes stacked) are played together at
the same time?
