Cache is a micro container unlike any seen in this area prior to
this posting. Let's just say, it's smaller than a 35mm film
canister. TheNomad clued me into this particular container (like
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCH3YB)
and others have given me ideas on how to hide this type of
container, most recently WebFargo #3 (see http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCF95B).
Best of luck locating cache as this area even without tree cover
has poor GPSr reception, and very unstable and highly random
readings. I was 70 yards away down to 1 foot away. I took reading
for over 15 minutes, both with a track log and waypoints, with WAAS
enabled and disabled as well so I could get as accurate an average
as possible.
From one second to the next readings jump all around, so just be
aware that if the readings are off a bit, I did try.
Oh yeah, the cache is located near bikeway / trails of the
Blackwater Creek Natural Area, with many places to park. Enjoy the
area, and hopefully find the cache. If not, it's still a great
place to just hang out.
Park is open dawn to dusk. Take care and observe signage. A
mountain bike is not required, and will possibly make the last
couple hundred feet more difficult. The first hundreds of feet will
be more fun on something with wheels (rollerblades or bike). A road
bike could even be used for all but the last bit. Just have fun
getting there.
Oh yeah, take a pencil as the cache is a log-only cache.
