A waterproof match holder located near a seat to watch the hawks -- if they are at their nest. Bring your own pen.
You could bike miles to find this cache -- or drive to it. The cache is near the parking lot on the Hawthorne end of the Gainesville-Hawthorne Rail Trail. We reached this point after a ride from Gainesville and were rewarded with a hunting hawk returning to the nest with food (a snake) for the young one. The tree with the nest is across the way from the cache. But if you are patient and take a seat, you might be lucky and see or hear the hawks. This cache is another in the Ospreys' Hawthorne Trail series.
