Ospreys: Recent renovations to the Hawthorne Trail included removing the overlook at Red Wolf Pond, which was the location of this micro. You can still enjoy the view -- but as you stand on the trail by a fence, not on the overlook above the pond. So we're archiving this cache, which we put out in 2004. Enjoy other caches along the trail. Thanks to everyone who took the time to find Cardinal's Color Cache.

Geocache Description:

A micro at a rest place on Gainesville-Hawthorne Rail-Trail.

This is one of six caches we've placed on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Rail Trail -- and others have placed caches along the trail, too.

We recommend you cycle, blade, or plan on a vigorous stretch of running or hiking to find this cache. There is not parking close by.

The cache is a film canister secured where it should stay dry. You'll need to bring a pen/pencil. Watch for insects.

The title of the cache is a bit of a clue (somewhat obscure), but if you know the name of this location, then you'll understand the clue.
