This is one of our favorite spots in the MacBride Nature Area, not far from Icepack's Point of View. This part of the park is open 9am - 6pm November to March, and 6 am - 8pm April to October. Dogs are not allowed in the immediate area of the cache, but there is a dog hitching post outside the area complete with water pump and bowls. In the winter the access road is sometimes closed, but you can park at N41 47.197 W091 34.115 and hike in on the Hawk Ravine Nature Trail (terrain rating 3). It's worth the hike. This is a family-friendly cache. The original container was muggled in May, 2005. We've replaced it with a small rubbermaid container. Park officials have reminded us that this is a sensitive area, meaning we couldn't put the cache very far off the trail. Please be discrete when hunting this cache.
