Ten Mile Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A short hike from the end of 112th St. South of County Rd "G" to the cache through some tall grasses. I would not call this bushwacking, more like an abandoned homestead area.

Drive to the orange signs on the end of the development road and continue south on foot. A little history about the area. 140th Ave to the south, used to be called Rabbit Road. 112th St was known as Rabbit Trail. The two were connected by a bridge across Ten Mile Creek until the State, and rightfully so, removed the bridge because it was unsafe for vehicle travel anymore. The access can be wet, but only if you try to get to it from the low side. Please be diligent about replacing the cover on this one correctly to avoid any possible moisture problems. Let me know if any problems do arise.**There is old barbed wire in the immediate vicinity, be careful not to cut yourself or tear your clothing.**This land is open to hunting in the Fall please act accordingly.
