Geocache Description:

The following two stage multi-cache leads to a unique micro cache container with logbook. I learned the code used below as a game when I was a kid. Extra credit if you can decode it without using the internet for help. Free visitor parking can be found very near the cache location, but add an extra star for difficulty if you are trying to find parking during weekday business hours.

Although the X-Files have been closed by the FBI the truth is still out there and you can pick up the investigation trail should you choose to accept this mission. Agents Mulder and Scully have intelligence reports indicating that alien antigravity technology salvaged from a downed UFO is being researched at Emory University. They have recovered a coded message that contains the secret location of the alien artifact and a set of coordinates where an undercover agent has left additional clues to the puzzle. The undercover agent has also provided the following instructions:

"The posted coordinates should lead you to a cryptic monument behind a research facility which contains a planetarium and a telescope for stellar observations. Let the year the monument was erected be represented by the letters ABCD. Also, count the number of paving stones that make up the PERIMETER of the monument platform. Let this number be represented by the letter E. You will only need to modify the numbers that represent the decimal portion of the posted latitude and longitude minutes (400 and 622 respectively) to get the final coordinates. The code below will tell you how to modify each number. Also, in order for the message to be decoded you need to know that each asterisk (*) character represents a single snap of the fingers. Crack the code and find the alien artifact. Good luck."
