Located in an area in Schaumburg that has been dedicated to Sara Meginnis.

Sara (Sally to all who loved her-and there were many) was a lover of antiques and a weaver, who wove part of her dream into the founding of the Village of Schaumburg, where she served as the first village clerk from 1956 to 1963. Her gracious ways and generous manner endeared her to the hearts of all whose lives she touched. To many, the unforgettable and beloved friend. To Schaumburg, a legacy of loyalty, honor and trust. This park, with her dear friend Ellsworth Meineke’s gazebo, will be a lasting remembrance of Sara Meginnis’ love for Schaumburg, and Schaumburg’s love for her.
