Geocache Description:

A nice stroll in the woods. May be a bit muddy after rain.

This cache is located within the bounds of an area of land donated to the local council after WWII to commemorate those who were lost during the war. Hence the name Memorial Fields. During the war the land was used to grow vegetables, previously the area was part of a plant nursery. You have the choice of two car parks. The first at N51 21.961 W000 32.237 has toilets, the second at N51 22.037 W000 32.406 often has an ice cream van, especially in the summer. There are many tracks through the woods. Take care if you leave the main paths, especially if you cross one of the many boundary ditches/banks, as there may be old rusty fencing hiding in the undergrowth.
