Yin yang is a three-part multi cache situated on Enville/Highgate Common.
Yin Yang cache is so called due to the feelings we had when we first visited these areas. Please let us know of any feelings experienced.
In the late 70’s a lot of volunteer conservation work was done in the area. Many of Phill’s childhood weekends were spent putting up bird boxes etc with the local scout group.
The Common has lots of hidden areas to discover amongst the trees, you will see a few on your travels (if following the main path). This is a really popular area for dog walkers and family picnics. In summer, people can be seen sat on the many available benches, enjoying the sunshine and the scenery.
Due to the amount of time we spend over the common, it seemed the appropriate place to have a memorial picnic table installed, in memory of our Daughter, Etain. Please feel free to enjoy the table while you are looking for the final cache. Hopefully this will not make it TOO difficult if muggles are using it while you are trying to look!
Most popular parking - N 52 30.241 W 2 14.492 (There is usually an ice cream van on summer weekends – a big hit with the kids & the not so small “kids”.)
Quieter parking - N 52 30.116 W 2 13.912
We have suggested these two, from the many other possibilities, due to their relative location to the caches.
PLEASE NOTE: - All cache parts are accessible from the common & from the main paths that lead around the area.
No matter how tempting!! - PLEASE - Do not cross into the Farmers Fields. Your help in this matter would be really appreciated.
CAUTION: - You will have to cross a road. Unfortunately, people tend to speed along the open stretches – so PLEASE take care of geo-kiddies and geo-dogs.
