"Can" of Green Gables Traditional Cache
JGB: This cache will not be replaced. City of Vancouver personnel have confiscated it and wrongly claim that the area is off-limits to the public. The area IS NOT off limits but it's not worth the battle. You can't fight city hall.

**** 7/26/04: Signs posted that say "No Entry" are intended for watercraft only per the city. The area is open to foot traffic but, as always, stay on trails, respect nature, and tread lightly.***
An easy walk to the coordinates but 'tis well hidden and will require some searching (bending down, looking around).
**** Due to the Bald Eagle and the fledglings, it is strongly recommended that you access from Waypoint #2 in order to reduce the impact to the birds (which, by the way, are beautiful) and the general impact to the area. ****
Parking/Access Waypoint 1: at 45 36.927/122 37.464. Parking/Access Waypoint 2: at 45 36.754/122 36.462.
Waypoint 1 clue: Marine yachts tower over the area.
Waypoint 2 clue: Tidewater flows in the cove.
Cache is an ammo box. Keep a watch for spoilers who frequent the general vicinity. Respect the area as it is a wetland.
This is a short cache, good for a quick evening's search when you just want to get out for a little bit of a walk. Respect the area and tread lightly. There is a bald eagle's nest nearby with two fledglings.
