Geocache Description:

LONG CANES MASSACRE...We found this spot about 3 weeks ago and found it very interesting... It goes along with our other cache as far as the early history of this part of the upstate...An attack by the Cherokee Indians upon the settlers of the Long Canes in the Cherokee War of 1759-1761 left 23 settlers dead and buried in a mass grave at this spot...Although 25 years before our other historical cache, it's still an important part of our early history...The cache is a clear rubbermaid container with:An emergency blanketWet naps from Tony Romas Light stick Compass Play Doh A where's George Dollar AND......... WIGI'S BUBBLES...GOOD LUCK!!!
