Flagbanke T&L #5 [GCC] Traditional Geocache

Flagbanke er et rekreativt område på Stevns Klint. Indtil 1985 var området et topbeskyttet militært anlæg med flere radarer til styring af raketter til at forsvare København.
I dag er området mere fredeligt med følgende faciliteter:
•      Borde og bænke
•      Grillplads
•      Overnatningsmulighed (bivuak)
•      Stevns Naturcenter
•      DMI’s vejrradar
•      Tårn med en af Danmarks bedste udsigter til bl.a. Øresundsbroen og Møns Klint
Der er efterhånden en del cacheer på Stevns. Hvis man beslutter sig for at finde dem alle på en dag, er Flagbanke det absolut bedste sted at indtage den medbragte frokost. Mindre børn og hunde bør dog holdes i kort snor, da der ikke er opsat rækværk ved klinten.

Flagbankeis a recreative area on the cliffs of Stevns. Until 1985 the area was a top protected military plant with several radars for controlling rockets in the defence of Copenhagen.
Today the area is more peaceful and holds the following facilities:
•      Tables and benches
•      Barbecue
•      Sleeping facilities (bivuak)
•      Stevns Center for Nature
•      Weather radar of DMI
•      Tower with one of the best panoramas in Denmark, among others with a view to the bridge of Øresund and the cliffs of Møn
Stevns holds quite a few caches now. If you decide to find them all in one day, Flagbanke is the absolute winner as a place for a picnic. Small children and dogs should be kept on a tight watch though, since the cliffs have no rails.
