The Bell Bomber Park commemorates the establishment and operation of Air Force Plant No. 6 during WWII. The plant was operated by the Bell Aircraft Co. from early 1943 through December, 1945. Please take the time to read the marker.
This cache would be considered a drive-by, except for the fact that there is no parking in the park or on any curb adjacent to the park. The Marietta Daily Journal parking lot on Fairground Street is suggested for parking. Once in the park, the coordinates above should lead you right to the cache.
Be sure to bring your own pencil (BYOP): You’ll need it to sign the log. Please use care retrieving the cache and replacing it. After signing the log, please return it to exactly its original position.
If you have problems locating the cache with the coordinates, simply go to the marker, face south and take 4 paces. We hope you enjoy the hunt and learn a little local history while you are having fun!
If you do not sign the log you did not find the cache.
