Ravalli Rhyme Time Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MrGrubstake: I looked for this old geocache and DNF - It has been around a long time and we had fun with it but it is getting harder and harder to maintain caches 40 miles away! LOL

This particular cache has nothing to do with the location and the fun theme of it would work anywhere that is simply a good place for a geocache - so I think I will simply move it closer to home! Look for it in Missoula area soon.

Geocache Description:

You may not know it, but this is your opportunity to be a poet!

I got the idea for this cache while on my annual winter trip a few years ago. Many thanks go to SirGerald in Utah for his series of “Rhyme Time” caches and hence the desire to do this cache in the Bitterroot!

Trade items are welcome but - It’s time for a rhyme! I do not know about your plan, but it should include an ammo can!

1) In the cache container is a paper with a list of subjects.

2) Pick a subject that has not been taken.

3) Write your geocaching name after the subject and that subject is then taken.

4) Log in as usual with your name, date and time, then add the subject and number you choose.

5) Write down the subject and number, that you choose, to take home with you (there is a pad of paper in the cache if you need it). I will add more subjects as they are needed.

6) That was the hard part – now the easy part. Write a verse using that subject! As SirGerald says “The theme of this cache is rhyming, it may or may not have good timing.” When you post your log on geocaching.com it should have your original poem. It must be original. It can be serious or witty – whatever you want - but do keep it clean!

When I bagged the cache in Utah I choose “Fences” and I came up with this dumb little verse:

FENCES

Fences and Benches
You can sit upon them both.
When you sit upon a Bench,
Your mind it will decide.
When you sit upon a Fence,
Your mind it will divide!

I hope you get the idea. See if you can do better! It should not be hard! If you would like to see some examples look at these other “Rhyme Time” caches: GCGD9D, GCGZT0, GCD7E1, GCD610, GCD60C
