Walt Disney is a name recognized by most people, however, we sometimes forget that he too, started out small. This cache keeps that fact in focus. Enjoy!
You may be surprised where it is now located, but this is a spot where you can spend some time recalling the founder of Disneyland. There is also a touching memorial to the World War II service personnel of the town who gave all. In addition, a large nostalgic metal object reminds us that in bygone times it called our great grandparents to their lessons. Open to view the outside every day, but office is open only 9:30 to noon on Tuesdays and tours inside are offered only the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 and last 1 1/2 hrs. Suggested donation is $1 for kids and $3 for adults. To prove you were there, please email me with the date of Disney's first garage studio, and the name of the school and number of students in the class of 1891 listed on the metal object plaque.

A quick note: My mother, Bonnie, of Team PauBon, passed away on April 23, 2010. And my father, Paul, of Team Paubon, passed away on February 29, 2012 (Leap year day, he always said, "Dare to be Different") I am taking over maintenance of their caches.
