Geocache Description:

In the Carpark of this early Monastic Site which is well worth a visit.

This is a drive up cache, hidden in the wall of the carpark beside Nendrum Monsastic Site...The site itself consists of 3 concentric cashel walls on Nendrum (Mahee) Island. On top of the hill is the ruins of an early church and graveyard and round tower.Looking out in the bay at low tide you can see the remains of a recently discovered Tidal Mill from around 787 AD.Check the weblink for more info...There is a visitors centre, though it's open at 'strange' times and everytime I've been, it's been closed...!!!If your bringing anything to leave, make it small.
