Geocache Description:

This cache is a plastic lock-lid box hidden along the Malta Bikeway, also known as the Zim Smith Trail. You can access the trail from multiple locations with the nearest one to the cache at Rhule Rd South.

Contains goodies for all members of the family and the paved & level trail makes it easily accessible by foot, bike, stroller, wagon, etc...The Zim Smith Trail runs from Malta to Mechanicville through the Towns of Ballston, Malta, Clifton Park, Round Lake Village and Halfmoon. It is considered the backbone of the Saratoga County trail system. Currently the segment of trail between East Line Road and Goldfoot Road in Round Lake has been improved by regrading and paving to a 10 foot width. This segment can be accessed at the Shenentaha Park, at Ruhle Road or on the North side of the Village of Round Lake. (ref. Saratoga County Heritage Trails Committee) When this cache was first placed there were no houses where you see them now. That was an empty field with a billboard advertising the Turning Stone Casino.
