Glacial Park is a very interesting surprise of an area tucked away in Gales Ferry. This is a two part cache with the first find providing coordinates to the second.
TERRAIN IS A BIT ROUGH AND TUMBLE.
Note: NATHAN'S KNOB 2 cache area is not far from Glacial park.
Entrance is 0.1 miles west of the intersection of Whalehead and Tanglewood Rd. You can park on the grass just past the sign at N41 26 450 W 72 02 923. This is not a large area, but the trail fades in and out, blazes come and go. So keep track of yourself. It’s well wooded. We think both parts of this cache will be challenging. Here’s a free hint: both parts are near boulders! We’re sure that will be extremely helpful to you folks. Ahem. Please take care to re-hide these caches carefully, as you found them. We left a nicer item in the final cache with the First Time Finder in mind. Also left a magic towel and a tape measure key ring. NOTE: FINAL CACHE IS 5.5” SQUARE AND ONLY 2” DEEP. Bulky items will not fit. (Consider looking at (visit link) before going forth.) However, I see Cadea beat me to it and made the first find. Congrats, Cadea!
