Ginger, our geodog golden retriever, loves to go for her walks in
this preserve. It is a part time home to the migratory California
Gnatcatcher, listed as Federally Threatened and a State Species of
Special Concern. See

This is a two-part multi; you will need the area code on the yellow
sign posted at the published coordinates. The second waypoint is at
N32 51.161; W116 54.XXX, where XXX = 1st area code listed
minus 339.
Before you start the hike, take a look to the NE; you will see a
fenced area on the adjacent hill. Make your way to the northside of
that fence and take a soft trail to the coords. Total distance
between the waypoints is about .25 miles and includes a short,
steep and slippery ascent/descent; bushwhacking is not necessary
but there will be high plant growth in some areas.
