Geocache Description:

A pleasant walk in McCrodan Resource Management Area (R.M.A.)

Resource Management Areas (R.M.A.) are hidden jewels scattered around Halton region. They are tracts of public land managed by Conservation Halton, each with their own distinct environmental personality. Most R.M.A.s (including this one) have roadside shoulder parking for a few vehicles and a main track/path running through the area (for Conservation Halton vehicles). There are no visitor facilities and only occasionally will you meet other people.McCrodan R.M.A. offers you a stroll through what were once ago farmer's fields, now being reclaimed by nature. Stop and listen to the birds. Be on the lookout for large piles of stones, left behind from when pioneering farmers cleared their land. Be sure to check out the symetrical "tunnel" through the conifer forest. There are farms and private properties to the north and south... at no time do you need to cross or trespass on these properties in order to get to the cache location. Tread lightly... these lands belong to the animals, large and small. The cache is not far off the main path/track.There are 25 R.M.A.s in Halton. I chose this one, in part, because it is west of 80 degrees. Everything local for Burlington and area geocachers is 79 degrees so here's something different to punch into your GPS.If you must use the clues, use them in order... use number 2 once you have first tried number 1.
