Caching the Midway at the Sheridan County Fairgrouds with the Hoxie Cub Scouts! Another hide by the Hoxie Wolf Cub Pack 160! This is a home-owned carnival that has been established due to desires of the community to have a safe and clean carnival environment for the children of North West Kansas. It is totally operated by volunteer community members.
This wheel chair accessible cache is located at the Sheridan County Fair Grounds and home-owned carnival, although persons in wheel chairs may need help to get the cache from ground level. The fair grounds are completely wheel chair accessible. The Sheridan County Amusement Board has approved the placement of this cache. The cache area is flat and can be driven to within 80 feet or so. You may notice the "NO TRESSPASSING" signs. I have been assured by the Sheridan County Amusement Board that these signs are only placed for insurance purposes in case of accident. They more than welcome geocachers to hunt this cache!
See the photos to see the original contents of the cache which were provided by the Sheridan County Amusement Board from their selection of Midway prizes. There is even a photo of the hiders of the cache! As with the previous caches, 25 buttons are provided for the first 25 finders.
The Carnival takes place generally the last full week in July Thursday - Saturday so it would be impossible to hunt the cache on these evenings.
