Cache is located on an plateau on an island within Banda Khayran within easy reach by foot or boat.
The cache is a brown ammo tin. Why is it called “Ant”? Find it and find out!Travelling from Muscat, head East to the Al Hamriya roundabout and exit the highway towards Ruwi. Approx 1.5 km further on from the roundabout turn right at the Muscat Pharmacy and follow the streets until you reach the bottom of a steep hill and blacktop road. Continue along the blacktop road and turn right just before Yitti onto a new blacktop road. Follow the road until (N 23°30.266’ E 058°43.916’) and turn left along the blacktop, which quickly turns into graded. Follow the road up the hill and down the other side to the beach, leave the car here.To reach the cache you must cross the small gap between the beach and the island in front (approx 50m). At low tide you can wade through the water at no more than ankle deep. At hide tide the water will come up to your chest. Make your way to the top of the island, which opens up to a plateau with fantastic views of Banda Khyran. Locate the improvised sundial at (N 23° 31.135’ E 058° 44.647’) on the plateau and you will find the cache approx 20m to the west.The cache when placed contained: Notebook Pencil Medal of Honor Allied Assault PC Game Rally Championship Dolphin Wind Chime Torch Orange Juice Stablio EraserThe beach is ideal for camping but can get busy at weekends or you can get back on the graded road and continue to Seifa with perfect white sand beaches.The trek to the cache from the beach will only take half hour.
