MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Goose Cove Magic Juice Sluice to find out about the status of this cache on April 15, 2007. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Geocache Description:

This is the very infamous mill that is hidden away, and not shown on maps.

Just above the dam and sluce area, and around behind the gurglling brook is a extremely clean natural, and clean freht water spring.Years back the water from this spring was diverted into a holding pond where it would drive a mill stone. The milling opertion was run by several residents who where reputed to be Dogtown witches, who used the milled materials in their various potions, herbs, and such.When the city flooded the area to make the Goose Cove Reservoir they tore down the old mill, poured a retaining wall over the old mill damn, and diverted the water into a drainage sluice to fill the Reservoir.Watch your step here as the path on the South side of the mill dam/retaining wall is treacherous. Also, steer clear of the sluice gate as there are no safety bars and you could get trapped in the tunnel (and drown).Cache is a 100 mL Pyrex bottle with an Orange plastic cap.
