This is a hunt for clues around South Wingfield and a short walk to find the cache. Coordinates given are for the car park not the cache. It should take about 1 hour.
Park in the small car park opposite the mill as you enter (or leave!) the village. (MARCH 06) Only a couple of parking spaces here now as the parking area is chained off - park by the church or in the village. The cache coordinates are N53 05.ABC W001 D.EFG Start by walking towards the church (away from the village). Find the date above the door. Add the first and last digits to get E. Whilst your here walk further away from the Church and add together the restriction this will give you F. Head back into the village. What is the difference between the 2 CWB dates? The answer is A. As you pass the Bluebell count how many bluebells are on 1 side of its sign, divide this by 6 to get G.
Continue into the village and head for Moorwood Moor.Find the date of the two hursts which will be WXYZ. (W+X)-(Y+Z)=C Or in words add W and X then subtract the answer to Y add Z. Go back and continue walking through the village.Go into the Hambleton Memorial Garden of Rest, how old was Samuel Ewart Walters in 1920? The 2 digit answer is D.When you reach the bridleway how far (to the nearest mile) is Wingfield Park? This is B.You should now be able to use your GPS to guide you to the cache.Once you've found the cache Wingfield Manor is a good visit or we would thorougly recommend the Old Yew Tree Pub in the village or you could just keep walking there is a cache hidden in Crich......
