When you look across the lagoon, you can see some of the runways that make up the SFO airport. This cache is dedicated to Bess, who once did, in fact, drive right onto the runway. This was back in the 50's when there were no fences, signs, security, and SFO airport wasn't as citified as it is now. Imagine two little boys yelling from the back seat of the 1950 green Ford (The Green Hornet): "mom, you’re driving on the runway! MOM!! You're DRIVING on the RUNWAY!!!" “MOM, YOU’RE DRIVING ON THE RUNWAY!!” The cache, of course, is nowhere near the current runway, but on part of the Bay Area Trail. Come during low tide, and enjoy the wetlands and shore birds. There will be nice views of the Bay, South San Francisco, aircraft, and far in the distance, one of our favorite old caches: "Everyone Knows It's Windy". This is a small cache, so bring a pen. **BE SURE AND NOTE the clue written on the log. When you have completed all four caches in this series, and collected all of the clues in the logs, you will have all of the information you need to discover the coordinates of the fifth and bonus cache, “Edward’s Nonsense”. Note: the co-ods have been changed away from the old GZ, which has become trashy, smelly (Canada goose poop), and unsafe.
