Thought for the Day (North Yorkshire) Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been disabled for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,
DalesmanX

Geocache Description:

A short walk to a beautiful church, then a further walk to the cache.

St.Mary's Church at Wycliffe is a 13th Century building, with some carved stones on the outside walls. If you get the opportunity to enter the church, it has a number of old memorials, etc.Don't attempt to drive down the narrow lane to Wycliffe village, there is no room for any parking. The best starting point is through a metal gate with a signpost, near to the entrance to Wycliffe Hall, and this will take you down through the wooded Crow Gill into the churchyard.There is also a pleasant riverside walk from Whorlton Bridge.

The Coordinates will take you near to the Church - in order to find the cache, you will need to make a note of the 5-word message over the door of the church.
Convert the letters into numbers, ie A=1, B=2, etc.

The coordinates of the cache are N.54.31.abc W.001.49.def.

a=1st letter of 3rd word.
b=2nd letter of 2nd word, divided by 1st letter of 2nd word.
c=last letter of 2nd word.
d=2nd letter of 5th word, divided by 4th letter of 5th word.
e=3rd letter of 2nd word.
f=1st letter of 2nd word, plus 1st letter of 4th word.

If your arithmetic is OK, then you should be able to find the cache!

This can be a bit muddy at times.
