A Message From BOBO Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WestwardHo: With all the reconstruction and the new look of the cemetery, I've been thinking I should retire this cache but it looks as though it has on its own.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the find and the search, especially the Evergreen staff!

RIP

XOXO

Geocache Description:

Tiny altoids tin located near the Riverside Mausoleum at Evergreen Cemetery. BOBO's gravesite can be found here, stop by and say hello!

Good friends of mine live in one of the many Victorian homes that grace the fair city of Riverside. One day they were visited by the original owner's granddaughters who filled them in on few details:

George Ward (Bobo) owned and operated a mortuary on 8th St in Riverside during the era of WWI. It was said that business was so steady during the war that he literally worked himself to death. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in front of the then newly built Egyptian revival style mausoleum. Bobo is still active in and around my friends' home, especially when he is being talked about!

You will find the cache 52' from the tombstone at 234° magnetic North. Please be cautious of cemetery staff.
