Bird Creek Campground Traditional Cache
mmjm: I need to remove this cache location permantly for a couple reasons, the main one being that we don't have an official permit by the Ak.Parks or Chugach Forest, or whoever controls this area. I would pursue getting one, but we have relocated and are not going to be frequenting this area enough to keep it maintained. In addition, there are a number of other caches in the nearby area so there's enough of a 'draw' to the area already. When I first placed this cache it was the only one for about 10 miles along the highway. Thanks for the fun! MMJM

Cache is inside a screw-top plastic tub. Items are also inside a ziplock bag to try and keep them dry. There's a "first to re-find" goodie for the first one to find since I re-set the cache! Thanks for your patience, and have fun caching :-)
UPDATED 06/16/2012: The container is now a screw-top plastic container. ** Even though it looks from the map that it's on the water-side of the tracks IT IS NOT. It is way closer to the bike-path and very near the top of the bluff. Thanks for your support!
Historical Info on this cache: This cache was originally placed on April 18, 2004, during an annual Boy Scout campout. As for a theme, since it’s near Bird Creek campground, "things-with-wings" seemed appropriate, so the starting cache contain(ed): airplane, prop spinner, butterfly (toy), fly (toy), Batman wing-thing, and a couple of Scout patches.
