White Trail Rest Stop Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

GoldenDaze: Ah, I have to let out something of a sad sigh. This was my first cache hide, nearly 10 years ago. It's also my most-found cache (not counting the SBUX-11 cache I inherited). But all good runs come to an end, and between the regularly-disappearing clues and the deteriorating final location, it's time to call down the curtain on White Trail Rest Stop. Many thanks to all of you who have left appreciative, funny, and entertaining logs! -Bob

Geocache Description:

This multi-cache leads you on a pleasant 2-mile hike through a Northern Virginia Regional Park. You must find and follow 2 clues along the way.

The coordinates listed, a trailhead in our favorite Northern Virginia Regional Park, will take you to the location of the first clue. Sign in as a trail user, then search for the very nearby clue, marked with the GoldenDaze dog. Follow the instructions to a new location in the same park, where you must search for a second clue. The cache is a short distance from there.

This cache involves about 2 miles of hiking on well-marked trails in good condition, with a short off-trail final search. In keeping with the GoldenDaze priorities, the park and the cache are dog-friendly. Keep in mind that Fairfax County leash laws do apply.

Note- To get to the start of the white trail, start off on the blue trail right in front of the first clue, then turn right on the white trail a few hundred feet along at the cemetery -- do not proceed any further down the blue trail!
