Geocache Description:

This is a mildly steep climb on a nice paved trail, to the top of a hill in back of a rest stop, then about 60 feet of steep, downhill trekking to the cache. There are definitely rattlesnakes in the area. It should be fairly easy to find, especially if you interpret the hint.

I drive I-94 quite a bit for various reasons. There are 7 rest stops along the route I take between Glendive and Billings. One of them already had a cache, the Wayfarer, and I hid one last year at the rest stop near Glendive that serves both E and W bound traffic (I-94 MOM). This one is another of the I-94 MOM series. I decided this year to complete the series and give the weary geocaching travelers a diversion and leg stretcher at each of the rest stops. The cache can only hold SMALL trade items, plus a log and pencils. PLEASE, do not crowd it with large items. It wouldn't hurt to bring your own writing equipment in case the pen quites working. Original contents are: Cache token, amethyst, polished rocks, dinosaur, kitty button, nail clippers, and lizard. There is a bench where you can rest and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL VIEW at the top. You can see across to the Wayfarer's cache from here. PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP CAREFULLY, ESPECIALLY ON THE SHORT OFF TRAIL CLIMB DOWN TO THE CACHE. I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN BOTH KING SNAKES AND RATTLESNAKES IN THE AREA. THEIR COLORING IS VERY CLOSE TO THE LANDSCAPE. Enjoy the cache.

I have been meaning to change this cache's location for a while and finally did it. The former location seems to be a critter's hole. The new location is only a few feet away, but less obvious to muggles who might be observing and less likely to be a critter place.
